Doug Fraser was born and raised in Deepdale, Inverness,  Inverness County, Cape Breton.  As a young man  Doug would often help his father, Willie Francis Fraser, cut firewood off a specific piece of the family land.  He would often say I will build my home here someday.  Today he enjoys this land with his wife and two children in their home and newly built studio.  They invite all to come and enjoy the incredible view of the Northumberland Strait, beautiful sunsets and enjoy the Doug Fraser Art Studio and Gallery.
